InCites : A research analytics and evaluation tool

InCites is a research analytics and evaluation tool based on citation data, designed to analyze the productivity of research institutions and benchmark research output both nationally and internationally. It uses data from Web of Science, covering publications from 1980 onwards, and allows for detailed analysis by country, author’s institution, collaborating institution, research topic, and more. It enables easy analysis of research performance at the levels of institutions, researchers, departments, and projects, and is also useful for individual researchers’ activities.

How to Use InCites

To access InCites, an individual user account is required. If you already have an account registered with a Clarivate service (such as Web of Science or Publons), you can use that account. If you do not have an account, you will need to register a new one using your Kyoto University email address. For the first access, you need to be authenticated on the Kyoto University network.

While registration is required, all faculty and staff at Kyoto University can access the service.
