“The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Research Fellowships for Young Scientists” program (Gakushin program) aims to foster creative scholars who will ultimately be the future leaders in their fields. The Kyoto University Office of Research Acceleration (KURA) does not offer individual support for preparing application documents. However, we do provide general information and host briefing sessions on how to write successful applications.
JSPS Research Fellowships for Young Scientists: Overview and Application Handbook – Guidelines for Writing GAKUSHIN Proposals
KURA created this guidelines to help applicants, primarily DC1 and DC2 applicants, apply to this program. (DC1 and DC2 support doctoral students.) The guidelines also discuss PD applications. (PD supports postdoctoral researchers).
Edition 2.3 has been published. This edition has been revised in line with the open call for FY2025 GAKUSHIN.
