“Hyakumanben Salon” offers opportunities for researchers at Kyoto University to casually talk to each other across disciplines. The 8th Salon invites Camerata Carolina, the chamber choir of Heidelberg University, and presents a special lecture concert, “Musik als Klangsprache” (Music as Language of Sound) with a lecture by the choir’s conductor Prof. Franz Wassermann.

The event is co-organized by Heidelberg University Office Kyoto (HUOK) and Kyoto University Office of Research Acceleration.

During the event, children can spend time with sitters in the library of the Goethe-Institut while enjoying German toys and picture books. Please register by September 17.
