With Heidelberg University Chamber Choir Camerata Carolina

“Hyakumanben Salon” offers opportunities for researchers at Kyoto University to casually talk to each other across disciplines. The 8^th Salon invites Camerata Carolina, the chamber choir of Heidelberg University, and presents a special lecture concert, “Musik als Klangsprache” (Music as Language of Sound) with a lecture by the choir’s conductor Prof. Franz Wassermann.

The event is co-organized by Heidelberg University Office Kyoto (HUOK) and Kyoto University Office of Research Acceleration.

2. 18:15−19:15　Concert (with a break in the middle) (Goethe Institut Villa Kamogawa)
   1. famous pieces by Bach, Brahms, Bruckner, etc.
   2. German folk songs
3. 19:30−20:30　Free networking (Center for Southeast Asian Studies)

Childcare Service (free)

During the event, children can spend time with sitters in the library of the Goethe-Institut while enjoying German toys and picture books. Please register by September 17.
