The Kyoto Roundtable FY2025: Commonalities and Strengths Among Research Domains Within Japan, Australia, and India

Date

Thursday, November 27, 2025, 9:00–17:00

Venue

Kyoto University Clock Tower Centennial Hall (2nd Floor / International Conference Hall III) — Hybrid for Parts I & II / Onsite only for Parts III & IV

The Kyoto Roundtable was established in FY2024 through the initiative of Kyoto University, together with scholars and researchers from Japan, Australia, and India (the three nations hereafter referred to as “AIJ”), with the aim of promoting academic collaboration among them.

This year, in conjunction with the newly established AIJ Seed Fund, Kyoto University will host a week-long program titled “Japan, Australia & India Trilateral Collaboration Week,” designed to foster synergetic partnerships and promote sustained academic engagement across the broader Indo-Pacific region.

As the central event of this program, this year’s Kyoto Roundtable will focus on the theme of “collaborator complementarity.” The event will feature presentations by AIJ Seed Fund-supported groups and discussions exploring “commonalities and strengths among research domains within Japan, Australia, and India.”
