The 2nd NIMS–Kyoto University Early-Career Researchers Exchange Workshop

The National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) and Kyoto University will jointly host a workshop aimed at promoting exchange and strengthening collaboration among early-career researchers.

As Japan’s leading research institute specializing in materials science, NIMS has conducted world-class research in the field. Kyoto University has also established a strong international presence through its wide-ranging materials research, spanning fundamental studies to practical applications. This workshop has been organized to bring together the outstanding research resources and talent of both institutions and to foster new directions in materials research.

During the two-day program, early-career researchers working at the forefront of a broad range of fields—including solid-state chemistry, polymers, biomaterials, energy materials, and data-driven materials design—will present their latest research findings. Through presentations and active discussion, the workshop will encourage open and dynamic interaction across disciplinary and institutional boundaries. We hope that these exchanges will lead to future collaborative research and the development of new research networks.
